Highlights

Abstract. The article describes a complex approach to recording irreversible deformations that occur in the epicentral zone after destructive earthquakes, using velocimeters. A method for calibrating a seismic station using a standard and a vibroplatform has been considered. Formulas for determining the constants of velocimeters and the conversion coefficient are given. The ways of checking the correctness of the determination of the velocimeters' constants by means of the velocity sensor and the laser displacement sensor are described. Interpretation and comparison of the obtained results are carried out. We describe how to obtain the impulse response of the velocimeter.
