Abstract. When assessing possible seismic impacts, the important parameters of soil movement are the level and duration of seismic vibrations. Based on the earthquake records at the seismic station «Petropavlovsk» (Kamchatka), expressions are obtained for calculating the maximum amplitude of horizontal acceleration, the duration of the oscillation section at the level of 0.5 of the maximum amplitude, the mean square amplitude in four frequency bands and the boundaries of the frequency band in which the maximum accelerations are observed. The calculations used records of 75 regional earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.9−8.3.

Keywords: earthquake, acceleration, model.
